In private, though, people should be able to smoke as they like. I'm undecided when it comes to semi-private places, like cars. On the one hand, the person is in their personal property, where they should be able to do whatever they like. However, that property is usually in a public area...and then there are the possibilities of second-hand smoke for passengers. I suppose a conditional ban like the one in Washington is all right.
